Stormforce Student’s PPR course success and FREE PPR Course Initiative…

Stormforce Student’s PPR course success and FREE PPR Course Initiative…

Stormforce Coaching student Steven Davies has become the first candidate in the country to successfully complete his RYA PPR course. Steve, a volunteer instructor from North Kent, completed his short online course on Monday 2nd April, as soon as the course went live. Steve completed the course with the help and support of RYA accredited Training Centre Stormforce Coaching.

Steve scored an impressive 100% in both modules.

Are you, like Steve, one of the 4,500 people who apply to the RYA each year hoping to endorse their RYA / MCA qualifications so that they may use them professionally as either skipper or crew? If so, you may already be aware that from the 2nd April 2012, the RYA introduced the new Professional Practices and Responsibilities course. Whatever your job is onboard, as a professional mariner you have a duty of care to crew, passengers and other water users alike, and it is you who will be held to account if things were to go wrong. The RYA PPR course is designed to cover these core responsibilities in more detail.

In short, everyone who already has, or is working towards, a commercially endorsed Certificate of Competence, must now also complete the RYA PPR course.

Whether you're currently taking an exam preparation course, or whether you need to take the PPR course as part of the renewals process for existing qualifications, Stormforce Coaching can help. The principal, Doug Innes, says: “our team of experienced instructors will be on hand to offer assistance and support if you book theonline coursethrough us; just drop us an email or pick up the phone and we'll have someone ready and able to assist.”

Not only this, but Stormforce Coaching students can now take advantage of a special offer designed to help those looking to gain a commercially endorsed Certificate of Competence. Principal Doug Innes explains: “we know how busy students are, so if you book a related course with Stormforce Coaching, we will book you onto the RYA PPR course with us for free, justto make life that little bit simpler (and save you some money!)

So, if you are planning on undertaking one of the following Certificate of Competence exam preparation courses in the near future, you can do the RYA PPR course with Stormforce Coaching for FREE*:
· Yachtmaster Coastal Power
· Yachtmaster Offshore Power
· Yachtmaster Coastal Sail
· Yachtmaster Offshore Sail
· Yachtmaster Ocean Qualifying Passage (Southampton to Cascais; Cascais to Las Palmas or the ARC)
· Advanced Powerboat Preparation

Contact the admin team on 023 8023 1122 to book your course or for more information, visit

*Please note that the Certificate of Competence exam preparation course must be booked between now and the end of August in order to qualify for the free PPR course (usually £37). The PPR course can only be completed once the student has successfully passed the Certificate of Competence exam. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer and assumes the student will pay the full exam course fee at the time of booking.
