Yamaha 704 ignition wiring

Hi there,

I’ve just added a blue sea relay with my isolator switch and as part of the relay addition is a cut out for ignition starter.

It just means that electrics don’t drop out whilst cranking.

It says to either add it into the solenoid on the motor or on the ignition key itself.

I’m looking at which wire to splice into for the cranking circuit and it looks like it’s the brown wire off the key, as it goes into the 10 pin circuit.

It’s a 704 yam key and switch gear as the photo below shows.

Would this be right?

Thanks in advanceClick image for larger version
