Wiring up fuel guage..

ok well i had it all wired up fine, i just needed to put some crimp connectors on the end of the wires that go to the battery .. not feeling 100% today hence im not at work.. I accidently put the negative on the posotive and the posotive on the negative... i dont think ive done anything else but now it just reads empty and when i turn the ignition on it moves down from empty a bit more... any ideas?

Most kit nowadays has reverse polarity protection. Hopefully one of the electrical gurus will be along soon, I am assuming the gauge is wired the correct way now.
