Wiring up fuel guage..

ok well i had it all wired up fine, i just needed to put some crimp connectors on the end of the wires that go to the battery .. not feeling 100% today hence im not at work.. I accidently put the negative on the posotive and the posotive on the negative... i dont think ive done anything else but now it just reads empty and when i turn the ignition on it moves down from empty a bit more... any ideas?

You may have blown the main fuse on the engine.

nope because its not connected to the ignition on the engine, i have wired it seperatly of the wiring system on the boat so it has its own switch to turn it on

Most kit nowadays has reverse polarity protection. Hopefully one of the electrical gurus will be along soon, I am assuming the gauge is wired the correct way now.
