The main suplier of plotters here in Trondheim claims that the new Simrad CE 44 is the best plotter when it comes to good map, speed an realiability.
I think is is important for me to by the plotter here in Norway, because it seams that this is the single item most prone to mailfunction.
Has anyone tried the Simrad 44?

No

But a friend of me is using that one with radar in the same screen, he is really happy with the plotter.
I know that a lot of rescue teams are using the C44 in Sweden.
It seams to be a very popular GPS for commercial use but i think it`s even more expensive than the Raymarine.

Just bought a RayMarine C120 with sounder module and GPS. It works very nice for us. Not tested in 60 knots. Great screen, lots of features and settings. I am loving it !!!!!!!

I've got its little brother a C80. Its the first Raymarine thing I've bought, normally Furuno or Lowrance, but after looking at them all I went for the C80 and find it superb. The Digital Sounder Module is a fantastic bit of kit especially for wreck hunting and shotting, with you being able to switch frequency for clarity.
It does however take ages to get it set up to your preferences. Just sawing up now to buy the Radar to suit.
