Water ingress into NASA SX35

I have a NASA SX35 which appears to have water ingress. I left the rib ouside one night and consul cover blew off whilst raining. Does anyone know if this unit is meant to be waterproof? (Wrong place to fit it if it isn't! )
Can it be opened up or will this void all warranties?

Any recommendations for a replacement DSC set if need be?
PS anyone want to buy a nasa SX35?

Nasa 35sx

This unit is NOT waterproof unless flush fitted using NASA`s own optional flush mounting kit, so I think you will find its b*g**rd if water has got in and if you take it to pieces this will invalidate the warranty I suspect.

New Icom, New Navman 7100, New Standard VM3500, New Raymarine 54E loads to choose from now its simply a matter of budget & personal preference.

A night in the airing cupboard (for the radio! ) and all seems well. I had previously flush mounted and sealed around the unit with a polyurethane sealant, however still quite a considerable water ingress - presuming the loud speaker vents are the culprits.
Will look at the new Icom after show price has settled on new unit.
