I picked a second hand one up off e bay for 10 but don't know what the amp rating is. Maplins do one for about 50. RS might also be worth looking at. What are you running that needs 12 amps ?

Droppers

The Icom 601 is protected by a 10amp fuse and according to book draws about 5.5amps on 25w TX. could always put a 7amp fuse in line and go for a 10amp dropper. Other than that only normal nav gear(plotter, sounder).
