I picked a second hand one up off e bay for £10 but don't know what the amp rating is. Maplins do one for about £50. RS might also be worth looking at. What are you running that needs 12 amps ?

Droppers

The Icom 601 is protected by a 10amp fuse and according to book draws about 5.5amps on 25w TX. could always put a 7amp fuse in line and go for a 10amp dropper. Other than that only normal nav gear(plotter, sounder).
