Video on Navamn 8024....Wake Cam?

Hi,

I have a Navman 8024 plotter that has video capability, I would like to get this working (Because it is there!) Does anyone know anything about this, I understand the connection is a BNC, how can I display a video feed from my ipod on this or even a camera feed, might be fun to make a wake cam!!

Thanks for your help...

If its just a standard analogue input then basically you could get a 12volt bullet camera off ebay which will have three wires. Common, Signal and +

Connect the common wire from the camera to the outer part of the BNC connector and also to the Negative of the 12v source and the signal wire to the inner part of teh BNC. Tthen the positive wire of the camera to the 12Volt supply.

This will either work fine or melt your console so I would RTFM just to make sure.

For your IPOD then I imagine it will have an anaolgue output lead which you will need to connect the yellow (signal wire) to the BNC connector. There are adapters that can do this.
