time to update gps

Hi

Have had my rib for about a month now. Came with an old Raytheon 590 gps which works ok but some of the screen is black and un useable. Can anyone recommend a more up to date gps/ plotter that is easy to use and will keep the wife happy with the cost

Thanks

I nearly did the same, but was put off by stories of the VAT-man chasing after you for his slice of the cake. Did you end up paying tax on top of the final e-bay price?
Also, did you get the chart software from the US?
