Tach / Hour meter?

How long do the digital Tach / hour meters (Analouge Tacho, digital hours, not botherd whose brand) remember the hours for before you need the boat battery to keep the memory alive?

Also anyone know how easy they are to reset? If "very", anyone got one gathering dust?

Having just rebuilt it, I want to put an hour meter on. Two options are a generic thing inside the console / cowl, or one of these combined ones "out on top".

best little piece of kit ever

check out tiny-tach
Welcome To Tiny-Tach. Small and economical tachometers for gas and diesel engines.
fitted one to the SR 4.0
It is exposed to the elements 24/7 and is running well this last 2 years.
its also very small - name may give it away
and the guys are very helpful - mine was a custom order length of cable and was no problems.

Go for the commercial, and i think it checks all your boxes !
happy logging

Yeah, I've had my eye on them, but I thought if I could replace one box of tricks (tacho) with another that does hours too it would be one less thing to have to find a home for...

Cheers.

The TinyTachs include an hours run meter:

Quote:
TinyTach Commercial...Contains tachometer, hour meter, two service timers, job timer and max RPM
On my (standard) TinyTach, the unit displays rpm if engine is running, and hours run if the engine is off.

Cheers

Cheers guys. I found one at the local Yam dealer that he wanted rid of for a song as it was on a display for discontinued gauges. Zero hours as well!

Now, anyone got a huge console they want rid of.....?
