Swiftech M298 Handheld

I bought a handheld M298 at the Dublin boat show, I didnt realize that Simpson Lawrence marketed the unit, and have heard that they are no longer in business, does anyone know if their operation has been taken over as the radio I bought has let me down badly and I am plagued with various problems with the handset,obviously I would be interested in having it repaired and hopefully under some sort of warranty, the guy I bought it from has a shop in Dublin ,two other friends have had problems with electronics from him, and when I contacted him he didnt want to know.I would just prefer at this stage to have it sent directly for repair. gavin

This unit is now marketed by Silva , I too bought one which failed to keep its battery charge but sent it back and the new one is fine .
