standard horizon gx1500e

Hi all hope someone can help me, iv just fitted my vhf sh gx1500e and thats working ok, i have a garmin 451s gps chart plotter, i have wired the blue the green and gray as it said in the manual, to the vhf and nothings happend can you wire any gps up to any vhf or not or have i done somthing wrong, any advise cheers.

Can't comment on the wiring side of things for your 451s, but if you've got it right then you might well have to enable the connection in the software of the Garmin so that you can make the handshake.

As Hightower says it will be configured to talk "Garmin Speak" - in the manual it tells you what to do to make it talk "NMEA speak"
