Not stainless and in the US but I guess this is the sort of thing you are looking for. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=260-440

I also found http://www.poweracoustik.com/grills.html and http://www.audio-n-more.com/installa...r_grills.shtml

this took me 2 mins - Ill keep looking for another 5 minutes and then ill give up too... I was searching fro stuff like custom speaker grills and ICE and subwoofer grills etc
Thanks for looking.

The ones I remember where protecting a pair of cockpit speakers on a Nautors Swan 44. So maybe is a Swedish thing. Or are Swans made in Finland?

Have you looked at fitting a couple of st/st "long" door handles over them like B & Q do not sure what grade st/st it is or whether you'd get sufficient clearance beneath.

I see where your coming from. Not a bad idea. Thanks. Some of those cupboard handles are quite sexy, aren't they?

Swans are indeed from Finland. They have a pretty good 'parts' department. Try them I guess...
