Think you have to tell it a speed to read from????

I.E. Paddle wheel up to say 10knots then GPS from 11knots up??

Will have a look in my manual later...

Apologies for hijacking the thread here J

I have 1 x 120L tank with a wema sender gauge which I would like to link to the smartcraft gauge. As per this thread I think its the pink and blue (or black) on the optimax engine harness (cut off under cowl) and then I have 2 x wires from the Wema fuel gauge (1 x black and 1 x blue). How do I connect the wiring up and what goes where please?

Sorry if it may seem a dumb ass question but I am not an electrician

Gareth

You may need to change your fuel sender-read the thread right through.

It's enough of a ball-ache that I won't be bothering to do it.

I haven't got the loom or sender for it and it's another under deck drag with a big plug.

Hi still struggling with this but think I now understand what I have currently got or haven't got. I have the digital optimax 2000MY so will assume it is a Non Can bus installation.

On the portside of cowl I have located the pink and blue wire and the orange and black wires which I believe to be fuel tank sender wire which is cut off as you can see in photo 1. In this same area the blue and black wire and another orange and black wire break out from the loom and is 2 metres long and goes to the oil tank (see photos 1 and 2). Also in the second photo is the paddle wheel/lake/sea water connector which isn't connected and there isn't any harness.

So I'm guessing I'm a few harnesses short such as the 4 pin digital harness with a 6 pin end but then how does it connect to the fuel guage???

Lost arggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhh!
