Routing Software

Hi guys

I jost got me a Raymarine plotter / GPS with Navionics Chart. I have a pc with card deader.

Can anybody suggest a good routing software package that will allow me to build routes from the comfort of my desk and then transfer them to the boat??

If you simply want to use it to build routes and not for onboard navigation , try using navionics navplanner software, think it cost me about £120 and includes a usb card reader to plug your chart into.

I also use NavPlanner, it's not bad. Be aware though that Navionics cards are apparently self-erasing if you do the wrong thing with them - i.e. try to copy/read them on a PC. NavPlanner has a special reader to get around that issue.

Just got my NavPlanner today and hv been playing with it all evening . Nice piece of kit. Navionics do a deal if you trade in your old card. I sent back the G25 and received the NavPlanner and 28G which covers all UK and Ireland.

28G is a brilliant map and very good value.
