Resetting MMSI icom ic-m421 help

Hi all, got a new (to ME!) ICOM radio from ebay and it needs the MMSI number reset. I thought it would be a simple key pad sequence to reset like my old radio was but this doesnt seem the case. Any ideas or anyone know who could do it, I am based in Scotland so could get it to Glasgow area or I dont mind sending the unit away if it is required.
Thanks in advance
Seumus

No can do yourself, dealer only reset I'm afraid, normally around £25 - £30.

Maybe that is why second hand Navman radios seem to shift quite nicely.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have tried my local ICOM dealer( according to ICOM) phoned three times today to speak to someone about this and get a price but still no luck. According to the internet you can download the software and buy a cable and its a 30 sec job but cant find the software anywhere and is almost certainly frowned upon. Anyone know a good ICOM dealer who I can post my radio too?, I was thinking today about just connecting up my garmin and forgetting about the wrong MMSI number being entered in the radio but came to my senses in the end!!
Lesson learned - dont bid on a radio that is ending in 1min 30 sec's as you dont have time to ask the seller any questions!!!!

I have my old ICOM unit, and trying to work out if its worth resetting and selling - Is it still the case that the unit needs to be returned?
