Err kind of not so randomly - well sort of - i just sat out in my boat yesterday - and plotted a route or two to the scillies on my chart plotter - I'm going to have 3 reversible routes to hand - one via seven stones, straight across the separation scheme - one via wolf rock - and one in a straight line. All obviously avoiding any obstructions.

Then on the day if the sea is calm and launch is easy and on time - i can go out via seven stones, and back via wolf rock as i wanted to and take in the scenery.

If however its rough as a rats arse - we can take the most direct route there and back.

After looking at the charts i was going to head in to hugh town round the south of the island - looked easier to me.

Any way the purpose of wanting to read all the way points off my data card as i didn't want to sit in the drive way hand writing way points down so that i can program me handheld gps. but its all turned into an impossible task it would appear i need some mapsource software.
