Radios and batteries

Whould posisitioning a battery close to a VhF have any adverse affects on the radio performance

The reason i ask is i would like to get my battery up high so its not sloshing around in water on the deck under me seat.

Thanks

Graham

On our Humber Assault the battery is only 3ins away from the back of the radio, all seams ok at the moment.
