New VHF

Well I was all set to buy a standard Horizon GX 1700 at the weekend until I was looking at there american website which showed a new model out GX2200 which has inbuilt GPS AND AIS receive
so I contacted standard horizon uk and a very helpful chap said that they hope to have it June/July

A radio which ticks all my boxes
Just thought I would let you know if you are thinking of buying a radio any time soon

I had a whole long reply typed out as it looks ideal but then looked at the owners manual. It's NMEA 0183 , but not NMEA 2000 compatible. If it was, I'd already have one on pre-order as I've got a GX1600 (exactly the same hole) on the Ballistic.
Standard Horizon have missed the boat again.

Hint to SH.
