Navman 8084

It seems my Navman may have died on me
Im trying to decide whether to sent it for possible repair or replace.
It is tied into my Smartcraft guages etc. Does anybody know if the sensors will be compatable with a newer plotter?
Im told they stopped making this model about 14 years ago

Many thanks
Si

IMO - replace it with a cheap modern version. 14 years is totallyabsolutof#ckingamazeballs amazing and you should count your blessings that it survived to now.

Our Navman died after 10yrs, our in hull transducer wasn’t compatible.

Got a Garmin echo45 - great value if you aren’t crossing the Atlantic!

Are you getting your engine data via NMEA2000/0183 or a proprietary method?

If it is, then most of the new Mid-range & up sonar/plotter combos will display the data too, probably in a better format. Things have moved on in 14yrs.
