Navman 5500 User card

Bought off Ebay a couple of years ago a Navman 5500 Plotter with a set of UK map cards and a couple of user cards.
Maps and plotter are working OK but when trying a User Card, Card is not recognised and when trying to reformat 'Card Veryfy Error' appears. I have two cards and this is the same for both.
Any suggestions welcome.

Sounds like the plotter rather than the cards to me, had a couple of issues with my 5100i before it died.

Thanks for that. I wondered if it was the unit as it was happening on both cards.
map cards however work perfectly.
