Navionics charts

I need to get a Navionics Gold chart cartridge for the Solent area. I seem to recall reading somewhere that it is better to go for the XL version rather than the S version.

Any advice appreciated.

You usually get better value for money with XL... typically 3x the coverage for 2x price.

And I am right in thinking the level of detail is the same?

Andy,
We have the XL (forget the No) which covers in great detail the whole south coast, bristol Channel and beyond. Detail is NOT compromised and great for moving from your normal patch. Used our down and around Plymouth this summer it was great not having to bother switching cards.

Regards

Brian

I got it off eBay. The coverage is much wider than I need, but the guy was selling XL and XL3 for the same price.

Fingers crossed I have got the right cartridge.

I got the 25G. Interestlngly, the cartridge I bought off eBay came directly from Navionics.

Makes me wonder if, in 10 years time, eBay will be the only shop left in the world...
