Nauticpath charts
How do you set up the land to be green as shown in the sample pics? I have everything white using nauticpath but if I insert a Navionics card it shows all land coloured.
I have been through the manual again and again and searched the menus on the plotter 5300Cigps and can't find anything to set the land as a colour. It does seem to be reading the card as all info goes away on removal of the card apart from waypoints.
All white is a bit hard to read, especially on a colour screen. 
Anybody seen the same thing before or even better know how to fix it?

I have seen similar on other makes of plotter and it was caused when the charts got updated to a newer version and the plotter software did not know what to do with it, all to do with layers.
Looking on the Lowrance website, the latest software for yur unit is : 2.4.0 but there is also a beta of 2.4.2 Maybe worth an update if you are not up to the latest(ish) version.

Software is updated to 2.4.0, 2.4.2 is a Beta version.

Tried swopping around cartridges between plotters and it seems to be a faulty cartridge. It doesn't show colours in my other plotter and the navionic card works in the 5300C ok.
It may have always been like this as the Nauticpath card was used in a BW plotter till this week.
I will see about getting the card changed over from the supplier, unless there is a specific setting on Lowrance for nauticpath cards that I am not seeing that doesn't apply to navionics?

I have just had an email back from the supplier of the cartridge stating that it is supposed to be all white........?
Does anybody have a nauticpath chart card running in a colour Lowrance plotter? And is it all white or is the land coloured?

Mine is all white - does not bother me because the bloody thing doesn't work half of the time!

I am awaiting confirmation of the card details from Navico but if it turns out to be all white they can have it back and I'll buy another Navionics card!
What use is a colour plotter that shows everything in white? be as well paying less and staying using BW.
There is something getting bandied about that the UK card are supposed to be like this and only the US ones are coloured but all the pics on all the websites show colour?

All the ads and pictures on all the websites show the color chart, mine shows the almost white picture beside it.
I think Trades description act applies here?

Here is a picture of the same chary on my Lowrance GM8200c, the land is not white but a pale gray and definatley more colour than yours shows.

If this is the display shown then they can keep Nauticpath. All the pictures on all sites including Lowrance for international charts show the full colour version I put up earlier.
I think a complaint to navico is on the way

When using Nauticpath charts I managed to get the land showing as green on my LMS 527 by toggling to night time view, this changes the colours of the display

Navico have agreed to refund the chart and let me put the cost towards another Navionics.
Still not sure if it is faulty or suposed to work that way but hey ho, its only an extra £100!

It may be worth while knowing that if you have poorly coloured Nauricpath chart you can download a patch at
http://www.lowrance.com/en/Self-Serv...0path%20colors
which will make the land green etc rather than the fairly washed out colours on the original chart cartridge (ie no colour!)
Navico advised me of this patch and it does work and improves the chart colouring considerably.

Going for the £100 upgrade to Navionics, have the two to directly compared and Navionics is miles better............
