so i can use any of the nmea out on the182,think thats where i was getting confused

I can't remember the clours precisely without checking but do know for certain that Ch1 is Blue and brown and fairly sure ch2 is Green and white with yellow for alarms. which one is + and - I can't say without checking the manual.
You can use either ch 1 or ch2 for the VHF as long as you enable the relevant channel in the menu of the Garmin.
