Mmsi number

Where do you extract the number from?? ive got all the requirements, signed up on line and applied for the licence, which is screen based for a fixed DSC radio, spoke to OFCOM today ! they said the number comes up on the screen, I cant find it, anywhere, the new numbers start with 2359 Help!!!
all the help questions assume you already have a MMSI number!!

Matt,

The MMSI is on the downloadable DPF file that you get from ofcom once you've registered.

Its about 2/3 rds of the way down the first page.

Hope that helps.

You will get problems on the ofcom site if you have a pop up blocker. I did anyway because lucky old me has two pop up blockers.

Matt,

What they do is send you your password in the post. Took several weeks for me to get it as I did it when the system first started.

Then you log back on with your password and fill in all the details for your Radio etc.

Its long winded and archaic thankfully you only have to do it once and not yearly.

Here's what I'm doing, go to my licences bit, in the section which says "Download and Print Licence" the number below "Licence Document" which starts 1-102 is selectable (the only thing which is as far as I can see) I select this and a new window opens which gives me a blank page, and thats it. Are you doing anything different to that, if you're not I may need to email Ofcom, if you are please tell me what its driving me mad!

hi i had the same problem and emailed ofcom and they wrote back to me explaining how to do it , first go into the control panel then click on the internet options folder then chose the security tab then click on the custom level tab then scroll down slowly till you find it says AUTOMATIC PROMPTING FOR FILE DOWNLOADS and click enable then click ok and close it all down then try again. hope this works like it did for me cheers andy and good look

Matt - is this a portable DSC set you have Licensed?

If not - your MMSI shouldn't begin with 2359!
