Hi mate follow the wires from the magneto coil and it doesn't mater which way the meter wires goes as it will just show + or - on the readout but remember where the red one is and what it says + or - just for good practice then set your meter 200~ that's AC you will be looking for a reading prob 20 to 50 max revs don't panick if it more that's what my the regulator is for

I'm getting confused here, what am I testing first stator or rectifier sorry all this talk about all these different wires lol

What should the reading be roughly when I start without revving it as it's on muffs don't want to damage anything thanks

You would need to give it a quick blip of the throttle
And let idle I'm not sure on bottom volts but 20ish comes to mind, now if you disconnect the throttle cable it makes it easier to work the revs of the engine and it should run ok with the muffs on and the tap turned on full so plenty water runs through and reving the engine to max for a spell won't do any damage as there is no load on the engine and as long as you have water on oil in the fuel so tap on start it up and rev it up ��������

Cheers,I'll clean the connections on the rectifier I have the battery on charge now see how I get on with that then we will move on to the next step

Success!! Charged the battery cleaned all bullet connectors on rectifier and getting 14v when I rev the engine,not even that fast
