lowrane gps /plotter

hi guys
can any one help my gps plotter screen flickers when engine is on or of checked power suply all ok make of gps lowrance 330

Just check teh Regulator Output, could be Diode blown or part burnt through depends on a few things but you may have to Scope output to check DC supply from Altenator, only a hunch. Did you run the engine with Batery disconnected for any length of time?

Put a voltmeter across your 12V supply to the unit, check that you're reading around 13 to 14.5 VDC. Set to AC. Ideally, you should read somewhere very close to zero. Any reading indicates that your regulator is not rectifying or filtering correctly.
