Did this afew months ago. You have to put the card into the GPS and then press a button for a few seconds to get it onto update mode then it updates automatically from the card. You'll need the instructions to find out the exact process.

There may be an updated manual for your unit, it'll be in there I imagine.

I think the instructions are part of the download off their website. There's a txt file or something like that.

Here are the instructions

Turn your Lowrance LMS-335C DF unit off.
Place the MMC/SD card containing the updated operating software in the unit's MMC/SD card tray.
Turn your LMS-335C DF unit on. The software update will automatically install.

(didn't work though!!)

As Jlanng said:

(Copied from the Lowrance website, procedure from obtaining, to installing updates):

Installation Instructions

Make sure the MMC/SD card reader is properly connected to your computer (and, if necessary, that the drivers are installed).
Insert an MMC/SD card with at least 2 MB of free space into the MMC/SD card reader.
Click on the "Install Now" link above to go to the installation web page.
Wait for the Java web installer to download and run. Follow the Lowrance update installation instructions. If you are not sure about a step, just select the default choice. When the installer finishes you will prompted to click Finish to exit.
Turn your Lowrance LMS-332C unit off.
Place the MMC/SD card containing the updated operating software in the unit's MMC/SD card tray.
Turn your LMS-332C unit on. The software update will automatically install.

Luck;
