Lowrance Customer Service (Navico)

Just got acknowledgement of a unit I sent in for repair, to be done under warranty repair or replace within 10 working days, most efficient, I wait and see what appears.

Not quite so good as it sounded! The unit has been returned un repaired, there is a software fault but they cant fix it, meanwhile I cannot see the icons for tide or current so that part of the charts functionality is a at best intermittant.

Does anyone else suffer this with a Lowrance iFinder H2OC?

Any ideas?

I got one Last week. Seems ok so far although I've only been messing with it in the house. I take it you have software version 1.2.0 ?
What is actually happening ? If i zoom in to about 0.5Nm the tide station icon appears and says if it is rising/falling.
Is it that which is disappearing?

Gulp

What happens with mine, which has just had software ver.1.2.0 installed (it was misbehaving before with 1.1.0 in) is this the unit boots up and does not show the "C" or "T" icons at all or may show only a few. If you exit the active nav page and cursor away to another location then back to where you know the were the "T" & "C" icons they have gone.

Lowrance's work around which does work is to select the "Miami Demo" map option then reselect "Lowrance" in the map options menu this puts back all the missing icons, but you need to remember to do this every time the unit is switched on.

They did not admit to seeing other units with this fault, it isnt the chart card or the card reader they believe, so software appears the most likely candidate.
