jack plug for a cobra dsc fixed vhf

hi all (help needed please)
is there a jack plug that goes into the back of a fixed cobra dsc vhf to connect it to the gps ??

from what i can see there are no wires apart from power neg and antenna and cant take the radio out as the steering wheel is in the way

There's a rubber bung in the jack socket-it's on the back of the set. Can't remember which side though-not had a cobra for a while.

That I don't know-never hooked mine up to the GPS. Does it say in the manual what plug it needs?

hi matt

it was fitted to the boat when i bought it and there's no manual.

i dont want to buy another really as this one work's and ive just fitted the gps so i'd like to connect the two if i can.

Hi mate

You won't have a choice in having to remove the VHF from the boat. From what I remember the jack hole is next to the main power wires on the back if it helps, and the hole looks around the same as a 3.5mm jack plug but what type I don't know. Tim M might-he had a Cobra on Evolution for a while.

Linking instructions are given for the model I checked. They appear to require a cobra GPS interface cable.

Cobra is distributed in the UK by Marathon Leisure on Hayling Island if that helps.
