I should have said the case was a aqua as on monster stuff sh from gumtree the cable was a USB to dock cable the dog had chewed through. Maplin provided a USB to 12v adaptor 6£ can wire perm to consul on rib wired in via fused panel

Ordered case and it arrived, as did the bill! Including their cheapest postal rate and import duty you are looking at £102. It's a lovely case and well made but unless they sort out a European distributor and lower postage, sales here will be dire which is a shame.

I'll post a few pics and let people know how it goes, this case does not float, theres an extra "case" for that if you need it. I'll follow up what they intend on doing about brininging the cost down for the UK market, Ribnetters clearly being a good target market. Couldn't possibly comment on ragflappers or G&T 2 mile tourists though.

I have now bought the Lifeproof from the USA been using it since new year very happy with it, it still dose everything it should & is water proof shock proof (but dose not float!)
One problem is my youngest daughter borrowing it to watch TV in the bath!!!
Cost under £64 delivered from the US.

The lifeproof case is now available from OutdoorsGB;

Lifeproof at OutdoorsGB

Postage and import duty can virtually double the cost of the case, whilst OutdoorsGB dont have the full range of products that Lifeproof sell they'd be a good place to start if you need other bits.

So far it's been a good case, had some good drops not had to test it in anger for waterproofness.

I have the otterbox and it is working quite fine for me. I have had a lot adventurous tours out there but i am never worried about my gadgets as it is pretty safe inside it.

At that price it's a copy though... I bought mine on ebay for around £50. Then I bought one for my daughter much cheaper and the cheap one is definitely a copy, not the same quality.

Watch out for cheap life proof cases I bought one for £26 on eBay. It was a fake. Hard to tell though till I compared it to a mates £60 one. In bits now.

I had a genuine Lifeproof and it was brilliant. I dropped it once too any times and it wasn't looking pretty so I purchased a new one from ebay.

Well they look the same but the touchscreen is not as easy to use, the speaker doesn't sound as loud and the sound/mute button doesn't quite line up so I can't put ring sound back on.

I have since ordered a new one from Lifeproof.

I have an Otterbox Commuter Linky which is great for everyday use and is excellant at saving your phone from being dropped on the floor - no help if you drop it in the sea though!

That's what I've been through too. Will be ordering a real one next week. The fake was very real with the packaging etc. but eBay warned me but I had it already and it looked perfect. Beware!!

Well the "LifeProof" case I bought cheaply from redracingparts on Ebay arrived quickly and looked the business with all the packaging as you'd expect.

However I checked the serial numbers with LifeProof and they confirmed that it's NOT genuine. Surprise, surprise.

I had naively assumed that it was just a clearance price because the iPhone 4s isn't the latest model. Anyway I've requested a refund and will probably buy a legit one now as it does look like a good design.
