As the second owner of my RIB and consequently, the vhf, I fully accept any warranty remarks / stipulations, however, I was slightly (only slightly) surprised to be charged for a fault not of my doing.
Geoff informed me that the unit was clean, dry and in general good order, save for a degraded solder. Therefore and in laymans terms, it wasn't me, it was him
As my PM, email and attached letter stipulated, I would of course be more than happy to pay for any damage and repair. I stand by those remarks. In fact, it you had advised the repair was free but the swift turn around and next day courrier cost amounted to £62.00 - I'd have paid without so much as utternace as I am desparate to get it back for this weekend.
So, I reiterate. Well done ICOM, Jon and Geoff for turning the job around within 12 hours, and thank you.
