Icom 421 v's 411

Does anyone know the difference between the 421 and the 411? I've looked at the specs pdf on the Icom site and asked a couple of shops but I can't see it... have I missed the bleedin' obvious of is it something more subtle???

The 411 is an upgraded version of the 421. They certainly have different displays which is supposed to make the 411 easier to use. Icom were promoting the 411 as having a special feature to get water out of the speaker quickly (by blasting it with sound?) - they made that sound like a new feature - but not sure if it was already on the 411.

Yes, the display is slightly different. Some of the information (eg GPS position) scrollls on the display rather than fixed.

The Aquaquake speaker water clearance feature is included.

Not sure there's much else of note except it's a little cheaper.
