Icom 4025s problem with power

Worked last year, this year, plugged it in, turn the knob to the 'on' position - i hear the click from the speaker, but no display, and i can't transmit or recieve. I've tried the squealch in all posiible settings and checked my fuses (external) and everything is in order... I there some thing I am missing? Is there an internal fuse with these?

ANy help or suggestions would be great- thanks!

Check input power. I'd lay odds that you've got some corrosion on the power supply lines that's keeping full voltage from reaching the unit.

Had a similar problem with a friends boat the other day. VHF would turn on (panel lights lit up), but no LCD display, and nothing but static from the speaker. Ended up being loose nuts at the bus bar connection, AND loose wingnuts at the battery.

jky

p.s. sorry for the late reply.
