Hummingbird problem

Hi all

Has an had an issue with a Hummingbird 3d wide view unit where by the the thing turns itself off?

I've re wired it, the power supply is fine and it turns on ok. Then aftera couple of minutes it'll turn it self off. Press the On button and it'll turn back on, but not for long and so it goes on.

Is it dead? A known issue or a problem caused by having the transducer not fully fixed?

Ta muchly

I had a cheaper Humminbird unit than yours (lots cheaper), and had enough power cord problems that I tossed it in the trash and bought something else. I wouldn't have foisted it off on a friend for free, even.

This may or may not be your problem, but finding a way to jump power to the head unit without going through the supplied cord would rule it out.
