I'm looking at purchasing either an icom m23 or m35 as a second unit, but can't decide which one, help.

M23 budget entry level and no waterproof when on charge / no charge cradle / no remote mic option. I have one on my LJ

M35 supports charging from cradle, and if that's you're thing a lapel or remote mic. I have one mounted inside the console on charge from boats 12v.
