H/H GPS using cmap or maptech

Is ther a handheld gps that can be used with cmap charts or maptech memory map electronic charts.

dont really want to get additional charts.

It looks like the garmins 76c or 60c only work with their own charts .

I guess your hoping to find a handheld plotter to run your C Map NT+ cartridge in, yes? I dont believe there is currently anything on the market that will, but I will check my files tomorrow to make sure.
Favourite candidate for your use would be a Raymarine RC400 but that uses Navionics mapping on a compact flash type card.

Various PDA`s will run Maptech but NOT WATERPROOF!

Sorry to not have been much use but I will post again tomorrow- how you getting on with the 6600?

Pda's aren't waterproof BUT very easy to chuck into a plastic pouch type case.

ta guys,

have maptech hooked up on the xda2 via a blue tooth thingy. works great but want something thats waterproof. droped the xda in the bote during the week and was lucky it bounced the right way. so desided not to tempt faith next time and the missus like the dedicated ones.

steve 6600 not in use yet hopefully in the next 2 weeks. got the max card hooked up to the pcplanner but the patch for the max isnt out yet.

I also believe the raymarine only works on navionics too

Paul have checked through all manufacturers I can think of and there is currently no handheld unit that will use C Map NT+ cartridges - unfortunately, sorry.

Regards,
Steve
