Gx1500e Mmsi

Can someone tell me how to input my MMSI into the Standard Horizon GX1500E, we have lost the manual and Standard don't have one online. The unit starts up saying it dosn't have the number but I can't find anywhere to enter it.

Try this:

Press and hold CALL until radio setup appears
Turn knob an select DSC SETUP
Press ENT
Select USER MMSI
Press ENT
turn knob to select number and press ENT after each one, repeat for each number
When all number in and CORRECT!!! press and hold ENT
Press ENT to save
Press 16/9 key to exit.

Be careful as you only get one go, after that the radio has to back for clearing the number out!!

Thanks Geoffs, that worked great, I now have the radio linked to our Garmin GPS and they talk to each other correctly. I wish standard had the manuals on line Garmin do.

Hi Jim,

The manuals are on line, I download them for work if I ned them. Your radio is the same as the "s" version, just the european model.

Thanks again, I have downloaded a copy and managed to change the mode to international from USA.
