Alice,

I don't think there is much wrong with that unit at all. Its all to do with the power connectors. It doesn't look too dissimilar to my garmin 126.

Would you mind giving me first refusal on it if you get rid of it.

Regards Nick R.

If I'm replacing it Biggles, I'll let you know. There's an ex-display 292 (which is the latest version of mine) on Ebay at the mo.

Alice,

To tell you the truth I don't really want it, because it is old technology, but I also don't want to see you ripped off. To me your problem sounds like it can be fixed quickly and cheaply. Obviously I would need to look at it, but if its the same problem I had it will cost £0.00 to fix. get my drift. Your repair company will love to charge you £100 plus for a quick 5 minute fix. I'm only trying to help you. But if your going to bin it I would at least like to have a look at it. Working it is better than my 126.
Regards Nick R.

Glad your problem worked out okay. When I had to have my Garmin replaced it took six weeks. That was 3 years ago though.

Forgot to mention, bonus on this little issue. Parcelforce have lost the thing getting it back from Plymouth! It's now been AWOL for 10 days. They've said that they'll replace it if they can't locate it in the next 3 days.
