Garmin Intelliducer TH can it be bonded inside hull

Afternoon all

just about to finish of an install only to find the transducer supplied is a through hull design

really do not want to be drilling holes in this nice new shiny hull,

can it simply be bonded as any other i have done in the past ?

any help greatly appreciated

Quick look makes me think that xducer is a normal device with temp. Shoot thru should work, but you won't get water temp data to the head unit.

If you want to test it, fill a sandwich bag with water and sandwich that between the ducer and the hull. If it works acceptably for you, figure out your final location and bond it in.

Ed, if you bond the thru hull ducer to the hull try and get it pointing as close to straight down as you can so that you get a true depth reading, but stay away from any strengthening in the keel

its bonded in as i always have in the past,,
