Garmin Homeport

Does anyone else have trouble exporting waypoints etc from homeport to a device via USB?

I don't have any problems exporting to an sd card to go into my 5012 plotter but

If I connect my 78 handheld to the pc using the USB cable the device shows up on the left hand side.
I can copy anything off the 78 into my library. But if I follow the instructions for copying data onto the 78, ie right click the file > send to > gpsmap 78, then eject the 78, turn it on and there's nothing in the waypoint library??

I've tried other methods like dragging the folders across, opening the folder then selecting just the contents to transfer, nothing seems to work.

I've done it before without too much trouble, I don't know why I can't now!

The 78 will be for sale at this rate, spares or repair....

Don't have any problem using it with my 76 which is also USB. I do seem to remember having problems with it duplicating the waypoints and routes if I hadn't deleted the data off the handheld first tho.
