Garmin GPS Map sounder

The sounder element on my GPS map is not playing, the depth figures are just flashing as thou they are not recieving any data from the transponder, the gps is working fine. Anyone got any suggestions.

Cheers

Lee

Is the tranducer in-hull or transom mount ?
If it's transom (if you haven't already) check that it is still parallel to the surface when running - it may just have tilted up and you aare not getting a bottom lock

It is a transom mounted transducer, I have checked whether its level also with no change, I even disconected the power/data leads, still no change. I'm going to thoroughly check the entire data cable other than that I'm at a loss.

Lee I have my Garmin fishfinder off the boat wail I re wire so if you want to bring your garmin over, and if it fits the same transducer we can try it out. At least you'll know if it's a transducer problem then.

Sorry Lee, forgot about this. I'll take a photo of the plug on mine to make sure. I think it'll be the same though
