garmin 750 vs echo vs 751

am thinking of treating myself to a new toy and would welcome any opinions on the differences between the 750s the echomap 70s and the gpsmap 751. have been saveing my pennies for a 750s but now the new models are available i dont know what to do.
i was originally set on one of the lowrance hd series but i went into yacht shop on holyhead marina and had a chat with james who seemed to be the owner, he sold the lowrance and garmin stuff and told me that they sell around 9 garmin to every lowrance mostly because the garmin is more user friendly and hinted that i should possibly wait for a bit to see what the new models are like,

I have the smaller 720 and like it and now on Black Hawk also the Raymarine E7 hybrid .
The touchscreens are great as long it is not too wet around you .
Look at the comments from Appleattaque ( Paul Lemmer + John Aldis ) and Hot Lemon ( Mike Deacon ) in the Round Ireland special in the last RIB & Powerboat magazin regarding their experience with touch screen plotters . They brought it with their words to the point that when it is rough and you need it most the screen develops their own life .
Mike described it as "dangerous" and John even wrote "who developed touchscreens has never been in an open boat"
