Garmin 451s vs 551s (Does size matter!)

Hi All,

Just looking around for a plotter and the Garmin's 451 and 551 look great, so heres a stupid (or not so) question. Is it just screen size that is the difference, or is there something else for the circa 100 quid.

thanks for your help guys.

PB.

Just screen size. Don't forget with either you'll need the transducer to get the sonar facility.

If you PM me with the best price you've found I may be able to beat it! We can supply a wide range of Brand New electronics at very close to trade prices! All the Popular makes like Garmin, Raymarine, iCom, Hummingbird, etc.

Only for Ribnet though...

Get the biggest you can fit on, I have a 555s which is really good but any smaller and would be hard to see at speed - The only annoying thing about it is not being able to customise the data field boxes.

I decided to get the 551 instead of the 441 and i'm very glad I did, when your bouncing around or entering a new port the extra bit of screen really helps.

Nobody has ever said "D@mn, my GPS map is too big and easy to read".

I have the Garmin 550 and am very happy with the unit. I would not like a smaller unit
