Garmin 230 chart plotter card south of ireland

Hi I have just purchased a new rib with a garmin 230 chart plotter .it did not come with a data card and I can't seem to find one. Does anyone have any advice.?

You can buy the data cards on eBay and the programmers pop up now and again and doubt you'll have much trouble dinging a chart CD.

The 230 is quite an old unit and used Navionics charts on a strange and short lived garmin special data card called G Chart.

I am not certian you'll be able to get one anymore, and if you can it will most likely be 1/2 way to teh cost of a cheap but new and colour plotter (which all come WITH uk charts F.O.C.)

Yes I had not thought of eBay, but those charts will be 5+ years out of date, last time I saw a G Chart was 2005 and I recall even then we could not find anyone to update it, I think Garmin discontinued it when they went bluechart in about 2002 ???
