Garmin 182/188c replaced !!!

Was talking with a chap today with a little inside info and has been told that the 182c and 188c is being upgraded in the next few months with better TFT screen , more colours 256, faster processor, better backlight etc.

Has anyone any other info.

Got a new 182C - arrived yesterday! The 172C still isn't in the country yet and it has a slightly smaller screen so we went for the older proven model.

I have just ordered a 182c last week. The Garmin book at work did say 5" sunshine viewable TFT screen with faster re-draw rate for higher speed chart movements. They are waiting for stock to come in so maybe I will get a better one
