Does anybody know if you lose any of the additional features or amount of data if you go for the large map over a regular one thanks Ian.

I've got the UK one and it seems to do everything the smaller ones do

All the g2 Vision charts will have the same level of detail regardless of Small, Regular or Large. It's only the geographical coverage that changes.

As commented, it's a matter of what you need at what price. If you're only ever going to cruise in one area, then a small or regular makes sense (eg a regular will cover all the south coast plus N France & CI - enough for many people).

However, as soon as you visit two separate areas, then it usually works out better to go for a large.

Thank you very much for the replys that was the only conclusion i could come to but you would have to be dead certain that you would not venture further afield not to go for the large because to by two of either of the others puts you out of pocket.
