Fusion (music system) spares

Does anyone know who the largest or best supplier is for Fusion marine products?

I've emailed Fusion themselves (no reply) and tried to find a dealer who might stock what I'm after, but no success. I see Fusion appear at RIBex and the Boat Show, so maybe someone on here knows them?

I have the ipod head unit (the MS IP500) and I need to get hold of the new ipod adapters (white plastic sleeves) for it.

Thanks....

It took me a couple of goes to get hold of them via email. I emailed first and got no response. Then phoned the uk agent bloke who said send an email. I told him I had already, but I sent another anyway. About 1 week later a box arrived with adaptors for the latest nano players. No charge either. I would suggest you just persevere.

That's encouraging - did you use the same email address as me?

europe@fusionelectronics.com

Thanks

Can't remember the address, but I did phone them with the 0845 No on their website. I think they have one bloke called Graham who does everything for them in the uk.

Just as an update, my Fusion head unit went into smoke mode the other weekend - playing the radio at full volume (just as I was entering Cowes) with none of the switches having any effect.

I managed a disconnect and saved our dignity, just!

The good news is that I managed to find a contact at Fusion (Roy) and without much ado Fusion are sending me a brand new and upgraded unit.

Very impressive customer service!

I don't play it too loudly and don't play it all in earshot of others. We do have some Marc Cohn on board too!

I did wonder if English was your first language...

No certainly don't broadcast, I'd see it as the same as those dreadful hatchbacks thumping out music.. yuk! It would be even worse from a boat. However some sounds on the move, out of earshot of others, is a very good thing.

When I first started learning to handle a fastish boat in a bigger chop (happy days) I couldn't get Hendrix's 'If Six was Nine' off my mental MP3 player.

Turned out to be a premonition as I've done what you have!

I've just made some investments in Roomful of Blues and Taj Mahal.

By the way I'm sorry to hear your fusion went wrong as I was quite attracted to them!

Love Taj Mahal, I seem to have quite a few of their albums.....

Don't be put off the Fusion, I am confident my fault was a one off. More importantly their customer service was 100% with a replacement unit whistling its way towards me.

Good to hear just installed a Fuzion iPod head unit in my rib - replacing a rather corroded (marine !!! Ha!) cd head-unit that looked just like a car one.

Got a pair of the Fuzion 7" speakers on order as well - not sure if I'm just going to replace the existing speakers as they sound OKish or create a new zone. Existing zone fires forward of the console (not that audible when I'm driving) so thinking of a new zone facing aft....

I installed my new unit today and it went suspiciously well, up and running in under an hour. I am now a marine engineer, it's official.

My speakers are large ones in the consol at foot level and two more under the suicide seat, I guess it depends how good your current speakers are as to whether you replace them. The Fusion is reasonably loud and punchy, but once you're motoring at speed it's pretty redundant.
