Electronic Charts
I have a Navman 6500 fishfinder with GPS charts. The chart I have seems to be a huge one that covers half the world! It does give me costal inlets and bays etc but is not of a close enough detail for wrecks / rocks etc for close passage navigation. I use paper (Imray) charts for that before going out.
I am thinking of updating the chart in the Navman. Can this be done? is it a simple memory card? The manual says that the Navman can use various C-maps (NT, NT+, and NT-Max).
Where can I get best electronic charts that will cover the northern coastlines of Ireland incl Lough Neagh?
