Not sure if one of these will go deep enough, but anyone any experience of the mechanical gauges?

just get a length of broomstick that will tuck away in the consol and use that as a dipstick. Hell of a job at 30 knots but reliable at rest And a spare bit of fuel tucked away so that you have some when you havent got any!
