Hi All,

I'm relatively new to RIB's and the forums. I have been bought a DSC VHF radio for my RIB and need to know what to do next? Does the boat need a lisence, how do i get one? How do i obtain an operators MMSI no? Thanks in anticipation for your guidance.

Mark

Hi Mark.

I recently did an FAQ on this: What do I need to own and operate a marine VHF radio legally? .

Radio's wot a mine field!!

Boat needs a licence, you need a licence to.
MMSI is part of your ships radio licence.

SRL for Ofcom via radio licensing centre.

Your licence to operate via a RYA school.

And it was a loverly day so I went out on the water, was great.

Regards
